Freelance Environment Designer (Spatial & Building Branding)

Location: West London – Hybrid (3 days onsite: Mon, Tues, Thurs)

Rate: £375 – £390 per day (Umbrella Only)

Contract Length: 1-month initial booking

Start Date: End of July 2026

We are looking for an outstanding Freelance Environment Designer to join the internal brand studio of a tier-1 global media and entertainment giant. This is a highly conceptual and visual role where you will translate an iconic brand identity into impactful, real-world physical and architectural experiences across high-profile workplaces and event spaces.

What’s in it for you?

  • Elite Portfolio Pieces: Design for massive-scale corporate hubs and famous UK entertainment/hospitality venues.
  • Great Workspace & Flexibility: Work from a flagship tech-forward campus three days a week, with a balanced work-from-home split.
  • Long-Term Runway: While booked initially for a one-month block, this role supports a major rolling project pipeline with a view for additional bookings within 9 months.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Spatial Craft: Create high-quality design concepts for building branding, environmental graphics, wayfinding systems, and large-format installations.
  • Customer Journey Mapping: Conceptualise how people navigate and experience a physical space, moving them seamlessly through environments.
  • Visualising Ideas: Produce presentation-ready mock-ups, mood boards, and layout concepts utilising Adobe Creative Suite and Generative AI tools for rapid ideation.
  • Production Collaboration: Work alongside producers, stakeholders, and external production partners to ensure your designs are realistic, scalable, and production-ready (considering materials, legibility, and architectural elevations).

What you’ll bring:

  • A powerhouse portfolio demonstrating elite design craft across physical, spatial, or environmental branding workloads.
  • Flawless typography, composition, and visual communication skills.
  • Absolute confidence in interpreting architectural drawings, elevations, and spatial layouts.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; hands-on experience using GenAI tools (Midjourney, Firefly, etc.) to accelerate early concept exploration is highly desirable.
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset with the agility to hit a hard end-of-July start line.

Application Deadline: Tuesday, 7th July 2026

*This role is open for a limited time. Next steps will be shared with shortlisted candidates ASAP. Due to the high volume of applicants, we may be unable to reply to each applicant individually.
