What You’ll Do
As a Merchandising Operations Specialist II, you will play a critical role in delivering the right product assortments to consumers across digital and physical store channels. You will support day-to-day buying and trading processes, manage operational data integrity, and help coordinate cross-functional execution with key business partners.
This is a 6-months fixed term salaried position contracted via Aquent on behalf of our client as a third party. There is the possibility for extension. The role offers c. €45K /annum (pro rata) – 40 hrs/week.
Due to the contracting nature of this role, only candidates with unrestricted rights to work in The Netherlands will be considered.
Key responsibilities include:

Operational Execution: Support the seasonal execution of assortment plans across digital commerce and brick-and-mortar store channels.

Data & Systems Management: Maintain and manage internal merchandising tools, systems, and operational databases to ensure absolute data accuracy.

Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather data from sales, retail, and product creation sources; validate accuracy, research outliers, and build standardized reports to support decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner daily with Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, Supply Chain, and external third-party vendors to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.

Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current workflows and contribute to projects focused on enhancing merchandising tools, systems, and overall operational capabilities.

IT Liaison: Act as a functional representative with IT partners to ensure merchandising systems requirements and technical issues are addressed.
What You Bring

Experience: Min. of 2 to 4 years of directly relevant work experience in retail operations, merchandising, planning, or digital commerce.

Analytical Mindset: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to validate, clean, and draw actionable conclusions from complex datasets.

Tools & Systems: Proven comfort working with merchandising tools, databases, and standard retail enterprise systems. Advanced Excel skills (such as VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and basic data modeling) are highly preferred.

Communication & Stakeholder Management: Strong communication skills with a proven ability to coordinate execution across cross-functional teams and external vendors.
